I have proofread and edited many other websites, not always for pay. Instead, the Webmasters have mentioned me on their site, and linked to me,
or given me free membership of their sites. Examples are given in the table below. I have also helped other sites for free, just because I am a member.
An example is

The Goverment and Newspapers use their results for Election predictions amongst other
interested parties that commission the surveys. Usually 50 pence, sometimes £1 and averages
about £1 a week for 10 minutes of your time. UK, USA and Middle East have their own signup links.
I have given them one suggestion about their recruitment scheme, that said they will consider using at a later stage.
I also pointed out a problem with people like me, who earn multiple £50 in a month, problem now corrected. Also accepted, a suggestion that all
members would find useful, the addition of the anticipated date for payment, once the £50 threshold is reached.
Saves wondering when it will turn up.
YOUGOV is Free to join, so why not do so?
UpToTen, a lovely site for under 10-year-olds to play games and learn while doing so, often without
their realising.
IPTL. I corrected errors on the ItPaysToLearn site for free. As a consequence I received an invitation from the management to become a quiz editor,
due to the number of errors I spotted and told them about. They were impressed by my attention to detail.
Unfortunately, as of January 2007, IPTL has been bought by new owners, who I do not trust, as you cannot find a contact address or phone number for them.
Avoid them.
GPTBoycott, news of good and bad Get Paid To sites and schemes. Useful to avoid the more notorious scam sites.
I did several sites for the same CEO, in fact, the one hosting this site for me for free for life. For example:

Neandertech, ISP site for Americans
In fact, these are the sites that used to belong to "DAN", the CEO of Neandertech, before we lost touch and I lost my .com domain.
